There are two different kinds of tenders usually issued by government or private sector organizations in Bangladesh –
(i) Local Tender
(ii) International Tender.
In case of Local Tender, we act as the direct bidder and if won, we directly import the goods from our foreign principals and supply to our customers. We also take care ourselves for after sales services, when needed.
In case of International Tender, the Principal must need to act as the direct bidder, in cooperation with local agent/representative to pursue the local requirements with customers in support of sales and marketing exercises, from submission of bid up to finally achieving the contracts. We work as the commission agent to promote, develop and achieve the business in favour of our Principals. Our responsibility also includes but not limted to keep informed the Principal of our market situation, provide all local logistic support services from submission of bid up to finally achieving the contract, pursuer & lobby with respective customers for all sales related matters, follow-up bid bond, performance bond and payment matters in connection with principal, customer & bank to ensure each in time, etc.
There are certain mandatory requirements of an international tender as follows, which a bidder, the Principal, must comply to submit the Bid and to sing the Contract, if awarded:
Bid Bond at the time of bid submission
Performance Bond / Guarantee at the time of contract signing
Documents in support of product technical features, bidder’s qualification, experience and related matters.
Payment term – by irrevocable documentary Letter of Credit
Authorization to local agent / representative.
